Cullacabardee is an Aboriginal word meaning “meeting place”. Much of the area is occupied by Whiteman Park, a recreation and conservation reserve, which was named in commemoration of Lew Whiteman. The remainder of the area is undeveloped, apart from a small housing estate established for Aboriginal people in the 1980s.Cullacabardee is a northeastern rural neighborhood of Perth, Western Australia’s capital city, located 21 kilometers (13 miles) from Perth’s core business area via Alexander Drive or Beechboro Road. It falls under the jurisdiction of the City of Swan. The majority of the suburb is densely forested with native sheoak and banksia. On Baal Street, there is a small Noongar village, a drug rehabilitation retreat off Gnangara Road in the suburb’s northeast, and the Perth International Telecommunications Centre facility in the suburb’s northwest.
